How should Chelsea line up against Bournemouth to avoid another ‘bad day’?

Enzo Maresca is expecting another tough challenge this weekend, away to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon. We failed the tough challenge midweek thanks to a “bad day” against Leeds United at Elland Road. Can we avoid a similar fate tomorrow?

It would be easy to blame rotation or tactical choices, but no one played well in that game. Individually and collectively we were not up for it. We expected a comedown from the highs of Barcelona and Arsenal the previous week, but not a letdown like that.

To do better, we obviously need a different lineup, though it’s not like we had a B-team out there.

> “The reason why we didn’t win against Leeds is not because of the experience, it’s because we were not good enough.”

In one bit of good news, we have no new injury issues in the squad, with only Levi Colwill, Roméo Lavia, and Dário Essugo out, and Moisés Caicedo suspended (match two of three). Cole Palmer made his return from a multi-month absence on Wednesday and Reece James had the day off, so they should be ready for more now.
