It’s an interesting (and anxious) time in Cream City. With the Milwaukee Bucks dealing with Giannis Antetokounmpotrade rumors andanother injury to the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, there just seems to be enough distractions to derail the focus of the team.
However, that did not seem to be the case on Wednesday, when the Bucks pulled off a 113-109 win against the top team in the Eastern Conference, beating Cade Cunningham and company at Fiserv Forum.
Before that game, reports surfaced about Antetokounmpo hinting at a desire to leave Milwaukee via a trade. But that was later overshadowed by the “Greek Freak” suffering a strained right calf in the first quarter of the contest.
Without Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee will have to continue finding ways to keep its head above water as the team navigates through a long stretch minus the future Basketball Hall of Famer.

Milwaukee had a team meeting on Wednesday amid all the noise on and off the court, with Bucks guard Gary Trent Jr. sharing some takeaways from it.
“Just the same mindset— win. Do whatever it takes to win,” Trent told reporters (h/tBucks Lead). No matter what that means. No matter what it looks like. We gotta get in the win column, so that’s the goal— to continue to get toward wins.”
Defeating the high-powered Pistons was a step in the right direction for Milwaukee, but the team clearly needs to show more and prove it can handle business on the court despite Antetokounmpo’s absence.
