Gary Neville believes Leeds have the slight “edge” over West Ham in terms of who will stay up this season.
The Sky Sports pundit watched Daniel Farke’s side beat Chelsea 3-1 at Elland Road on Wednesday evening, and he thinks the front two of Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be the key to them retaining their top-flight status:
“I think that Leeds lineup that started against Chelsea, if they can all stay fit with those two up front, I think they could be safe.”

Who are the 3 favourites to be relegated from the Premier League?
Wolves and Burnley are odds-on to go down at the moment, and the bookies agree with Neville that the Hammers are more likely than Burnley to finish the campaign in the bottom three.
Nuno Espirito’s side are currently priced between evens and 10/11 to be relegated, while Leeds have much longer odds between 6/4 and 7/4. It should be pointed out, though, that there is still a long way to go this season with 24 games remaining heading into this weekend.
West Ham need to add goals in January
While Nuno has managed to shore things up at the back, to an extent, but the Irons will need more firepower if they are to secure some important results over the coming weeks.
As Neville mentions, the secret to Leeds’ win midweek was their two strikers up top, and West Ham need to find a No.9 of their own when the January transfer window reopens.
A whole host of strikers have been mentioned as potential targets, but it does look like Union Saint-Gilloise forward Promise David is one of the top options. Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett reported on Thursday that a move for the Canadian international is being explored.
