Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has said that the Gunners will be panicking ahead of their game against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Arsenal won 2-0 in their last game against Brentford, and will now be hoping to make it back to back wins as they prepare to play against Aston Villa on Saturday. They will head to Villa Park, with the likes of William Saliba and Leandro Trossard back from injuries, which will be a much-needed boost.

The Gunners won’t have it easy though, as they are up against the most in-form team in the Premier League, as Villa have won their last six games, and haven’t lost at home since the end of August.
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson says the Gunners will be panicking ahead of the game on Saturday. He said on Sky Sports: “They’re [Aston Villa] full of confidence, it’s all about timing for me when you play Premier League games.
“Five weeks ago, Arsenal were looking at that game going ‘this ain’t bad, we’re playing Villa’, all of a sudden now, the last team you want to be playing is Villa away.Villa are playing with confidence, they’ve beaten Arsenal before, they’ve caused Arsenal problems, they stopped Arsenal winning the league at the Emirates a couple of years ago when they won there.
“There will be a lot of panic, this is a big, big football match. A draw is no good now, you draw this game and Man City win, it’s two points gained again.”
Arsenal backed as narrow favourites by the bookmakers
Heading into the game on Saturday, it is expected to be a tight affair, with Villa showing in recent weeks that they can live up to the levels of Arsenal and Manchester City.
