Half an hour or so later, however, and Le Bris was most likely thinking very differently about today's game at the Etihad (3pm).
Fulham didn't complete one of the more unlikely Premier League comebacks, but they came very close, scoring three goals without reply in the last half an hour and making Pep Guardiola and his players sweat.

"It's another tough challenge but an exciting one once again," said Le Bris.
"This league is like that. You don't have time to recover. You need to switch on and let's go again.
"We're looking forward to playing this game. We are building our confidence through different experiences.
"Our knowledge, our collective knowledge as well is positive. But now Manchester City are probably one of the best teams in this league with the ball.
"We know the pitch is big and we know that we'll face one of the toughest challenges this season. But we'll give it our best."
