The Milwaukee Bucks continue to stumble through a difficult season, dropping to 10-14 and sitting in 10th place in the Eastern Conference after a 116-101 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Their night got even tougher when AJ Green went down with a shoulder injury and was ruled out for the rest of the game.
AJ Green injured his shoulder late in the second quarter of Milwaukee’s loss to the 76ers after trying to fight through a screen set by Andre Drummond. He remained on the floor for a short stretch, but the pain became too much, and the Bucks eventually sent him to the locker room. He was ruled out for the rest of the night.

The Bucks will return to the floor on Saturday for the second night of a back-to-back against the Detroit Pistons, and the team likely will not provide a final update on Green’s status until moments before tipoff.
Green has been one of the few positives for Milwaukee during this rough stretch. He earned a spot in the starting group this season, and before Friday’s matchup he had opened all 23 games he played, averaging just over 29 minutes.

Before his injury, Green was putting up a career-best 11.7 points along with 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists, all while shooting 50 percent from the field, nearly 50 percent from beyond the arc, and 79.2 percent at the line. Every major category, from his work on the glass to his accuracy, marked a new high for him this season.
Green went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft and initially joined the Bucks on a two-way deal for the 2022-23 campaign. After a strong rookie season, Milwaukee promoted him to a standard contract. The organization doubled down on its belief in him this past offseason, signing AJ Green to a four-year extension valued at roughly $45 million.
