Report: The Friedkin Group make Everton proud with ‘significant’ gesture away from Hill…

Everton is a club intertwined with the local community, which is why landing the right owners last year was so important.

There were plenty of other things which needed taking into consideration at Everton when Farhad Moshiri was looking to move the club on.

The Friedkin Group have now been in situ for just under a full year now and the progress on Merseyside has been evident.

Everton are now a financially stable football club, with sustainable self-driven revenue coming through the doors with the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It is not just the finances that the Friedkins have brought to Merseyside as they have also shown some of the core values rooted in Everton Football Club.

Something they have now done away from Everton has been shared and it should make those back at the club incredibly proud.

The Friedkin Group make huge donation away from Everton

Landing the Friedkins was a result for the club as Everton dodged a real bullet with John Textor making the headlines for the wrong reasons once again.

The product on the pitch has vastly improved since the American businessman was handed the keys on Merseyside last December.

Also the owner of AS Roma, the Friedkins are now set to make a ‘significant’ charitable donation over in Italy.

It has been reported by Corriere dello Sport that the Friedkins have cancelled the Roma Christmas party and will donate the funds to charity.

The annual party is believed to cost in the hundreds of thousands of euros, showing just how generous Everton’s owners are being.

Everton do not have to worry about FFP to the extent they did under Moshiri.

Seeing the club’s owners offer this kind of charitable donation will only boost the American’s reputation on Merseyside at a club so close to the community.

The Friedkins need to hand David Moyes Everton funds in January

Moyes was delighted with Everton’s summer business, which saw a whopping nine players come through the doors at Finch Farm.

Just weeks out from January and more work is going to be needed in the winter market.

Everton have been struck with some key injury and suspension blows, which have depleted Moyes’ squad in the space of days.

Everton News columnist Alan Myers wants to see at least three players signed in January to bolster the squad.

The Toffees could push for something special this season, but Moyes is going to need the backing of the owners to continue adding to the squad he inherited less than a year ago.
