With FC Barcelona scouring the market for a new centre-forward for the summer of 2026, several players have been linked with a move to the Spotify Camp Nou.

Julian Alvarez was touted as the top priority, but Barça have seemingly cooled their interest in him. Harry Kane was another option, but he appears set to continue at Bayern Munich.

Given the situation, the Blaugrana are also looking at alternatives, one of whom happens to be TSG Hoffenheim forward Fisnik Asllani.

The Kosovan centre-forward is on the agenda of several top clubs after a strong start to the season with Hoffenheim, and his accessible release clause of between €25-29 million makes him a good market opportunity.

Barcelona, thus, are understood to be following him, along with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

In an interview with RTL (h/t SPORT), Asllani acknowledged that he is paying attention to all the rumours surrounding his future, although he made it clear that his only current focus is to have a good season with Hoffenheim.

“Of course, I hear and read things like that. It’s an honour, and I feel a little proud of it, but I’m focused on Hoffenheim. On the upcoming matches, weeks and months. That’s the most important thing for me,” said Asllani.

“We’ll see what happens in the end. Everything in its own time,” added the striker, who believes in living in the present and making the most of it in order to “build a good future.”

Continuing on the topic of his future, Asllani added that he discusses the matter with his family as he intends to lay out a roadmap for his career.

“Of course, I talk about the future with my family and my closest friends. I’m not 18 anymore, and you start planning your career and your life,” the Kosovan striker said.

“Thinking about how far I want to go and what I want. Getting to know myself and discovering what’s important to me, what my priorities are.”

So far this season, Asllani has racked up six goals and three assists from 14 matches in all competitions for Hoffenheim.

The 23-year-old forward’s current contract with the club runs until 2029, but as mentioned earlier, has a release clause worth €25-29 million.
