Former Arsenal forward Alan Smith has issued a warning to the Gunners to be wary of Aston Villa this weekend.
The Gunners head into their game against Villa on Saturday afternoon five points clear at the top of the Premier League table. They won 2-0 in their last game against Brentford, getting back to winning ways after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weekend.

Mikel Arteta will be pleased with how his side performed during the week, and is also set to get back the likes of William Saliba and Leandro Trossard from injury, which will be a huge boost to the defence and the attack.
However, it won’t be easy, as they play against a Villa side who have not lost a home game since August 31st. Furthermore, Unai Emery’s side are the most in-form team in the Premier League, having won their last six matches under the former Arsenal manager.
Alan Smith predicts Arsenal win, but warns Gunners to “be wary” of Rogers
Ahead of the game, former Arsenal striker Alan Smith exclusively told GoonerNews via BestBettingSites.co.uk, his score prediction: “I’m going to go 2-1 to Arsenal”.
However, Smith did warn Arsenal to be wary of Aston Villa, specifically winger Morgan Rogers, who is in the form of his life for the Midlands-based side.
“Rogers is in great form. And he’ll probably be playing just behind Ollie Watkins, who got a couple the other night. So he’s confident, he’ll be given a boost. So the likes of Zubimendi, Declan Rice, to a certain extent, will be well aware of him and trying to keep tabs on him.
“He’s done ever so well for England as well, Morgan Rogers. Really talented player who is difficult to keep down. So Arsenal have got to be wary of him.”
It’s going to be a tough game for Arteta’s side on Saturday, and would be a real statement if they could go to Villa Park and put in a dominant display against Villa.
