Inter tried in any way to enter negotiations to sign Nico Paz last summer, including making the most of their excellent relationship with Nico’s father, Pablo.

However, Real Madrid have always had control and have been planning for Paz’s return, which is expected to materialise next summer.

It’s hard to think about any different scenario during the January transfer window and for this reason, Como turned down any possible proposal during the summer, knowing that Real Madrid had the last word.

At 18:00 CET today, the Nerazzurri will face off against Paz, but will be hoping that he won’t have his best day at San Siro.

Today’s home match against Como will be a challenging one for Inter, not just because of the Argentine, perhaps the most in-form Serie A player right now, surely one of the top three, but also due to the excellent run of Cesc Fabregas’ side, who have not lost since August 30, collecting six wins and six draws in the last 12 matches.
