The Blues would have been desperate to respond following Wednesday evening's disappointing loss at Leeds United, but have been forced to settle with a point from the Vitality Stadium. Cole Palmer made his first start since September 20 but the No.10 was unable to make too much of an impact for the away side down on the south coast.
Alejandro Garnacho hit the outside of the post early in the second-half for Chelsea, but that was as close as they came all afternoon in Bournemouth. The Cherries had an early Antoine Semenyo goal ruled out by VAR for offside, with Evanilson standing in an illegal position in the build up.
