It was an encouraging first half performance from the Cherries as they threatened the Chelsea backline but weren’t able to find the opening goal, although they did have an early Antoine Semenyo goal ruled out for offside.
The second half followed a similar pattern, as both sides had chances but neither side could find the decisive finish to end the stalemate.
Andoni Iraola made four changes to his side which fell to defeat against Everton.
Marcos Senesi returned from suspension, while Adam Smith, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson returned to the XI.

Tyler Adams was ruled out through suspension, Veljko Milosavljevic missed out with a knock and Amine Adli and Junior Kroupi dropped to the bench.
Tavernier started in the midfield position vacated by Adams, and the Cherries made a fast start.
With four minutes on the clock, Bournemouth had the ball in the back of the net but it was ruled out by VAR for offside.
Justin Kluivert passed to Alex Scott on the edge of the box, who slipped Evanilson through, the Brazilian saw his attempt saved but Semenyo was there to finish – but the Brazilian was just offside from Scott’s pass.

Moments later, the Cherries crowd thought they had been awarded a penalty as Kluivert went down under a challenge after he was fouled going for the ball after Robert Sanchez saved from Tavernier, but he too was offside.
Jimenez saw a shot blocked back to him and he volleyed wide, before Marc Cucurella headed over at the far post after a quick Chelsea counterattack.
Liam Delap saw a snapshot blocked inside the Cherries area, before the Chelsea forward, who had been in a bit of a tussle with Senesi, went off clutching his shoulder after he went down after a Cherries corner.
Bournemouth went close after 35 minutes as Sanchez brilliantly denied Semenyo from the angle and Evanilson’s instinctive finish from the rebound was just poked wide.

Tavernier, Pedro Neto and Semenyo all shot from distance for their respective sides but missed the target, before the Cherries had two good chances in stoppage time.
First, Scott made space to shoot on the right of the Chelsea box but Sanchez made a good save down to his right, before the Spaniard denied Semenyo as he shot from the angle on the left in the final action of the half.
Tavernier dragged a shot wide early in the second half after he was teed up by Semenyo, before Djordje Petrovic saved well to his left from a Pedro Neto effort from the right of the box.

Alejandro Garnacho hit the outside of the post with a header as Chelsea exerted some early pressure and Petrovic saved from both Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer as they shot from the edge of the box.
The Cherries again threatened as Tavernier saw a shot blocked from the edge of the box, before Senesi was replaced by James Hill after going down with an injury.
Marc Guiu blasted well over the bar, before some half-hearted penalty appeals as Gusto challenged Scott after he had shown good footwork to get past Wesley Fofana, but it was a good tackle.

Garnacho fired wide from the left and outside the box after he cut inside.
David Brooks and Adli replaced Kluivert and Jimenez, before Sanchez again denied Semenyo, this time with a strong right hand as the Ghanaian made space to shoot on the left and powered towards goal.
Evanilson was replaced by Enes Unal before Fernandez blasted well over the bar from range, as the game entered five added minutes.
But neither side could create a final decisive chance and the spoils were shared at the Vitality Stadium.
