
Arsenal loanee Ismeal Kabia scored a superb goal and made a major impact as he helped Shrewsbury Town to progress to the FA Cup third round.
With Shrewsbury trailing 1-0 away to non-league side Sutton United, Kabia took it upon himself to find the net with an excellent curled effort in injury time.
Kabia was replaced shortly afterwards, with Shrewsbury going on to win 2-1.
The youngster started the game in an advanced midfield position, which didn’t quite suit him as much as the right wing-back berth he had featured in during the previous round.
However, Kabia still had some encouraging touches in the first half before really starting to influence proceedings after the interval.
Prior to his goal Kabia had a couple of opportunities, while he appeared more on the left flank.
Kabia shielded the ball well at times and always looked to create openings.
After the game the 19-year-old told TNT Sports that he believes he would be eligible to feature if Shrewsbury draw Arsenal in the FA Cup third round.
Kabia said: ‘I think so. Just focus on the next league game and go again.
‘Hopefully if we did get Arsenal in the next round it would be good.’
