Warriors Help Knicks Land Giannis Antetokounmpo in Mega Mock Deal

It's no secret that the New York Knicks have had eyes on Giannis Antetokounmpo for several seasons.

As the Milwaukee Bucks continue to struggle, the reality of Antetokounmpo getting traded is becoming more realistic by the day, and the Golden State Warriors could find themselves getting involved.

Like most NBA teams, the Warriors are likely to make a call in an attempt to secure Giannis for themselves. In the event they don't have the right package-or the interest from the Greek Freak-there's a chance the Warriors could help facilitate a deal.

How the Warriors Could Help the New York Knicks

Recently, CBS Sports crafted a handful of mock trades centered around Antetokounmpo.

In a three-team mega mock scenario, the Knicks, Warriors, and the Bucks move a bunch of pieces in a deal that's centered around the multi-time MVP.

The Knicks would land Antetokounmpo, Kyle Kuzma, and Cole Anthony. They won't land anybody from Golden State, but the Warriors will assist by helping the Bucks load up on notable players and assets.

Who Do the Warriors Land?

Imagine Mikal Bridges and Gary Trent Jr. suiting up alongside Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler.

Mikal Bridges has been one of the NBA's most reliable three-and-D wings, averaging 14.8 points, shooting 37 percent from three, and swiping 1.2 steals per game throughout his career. Currently, he's producing 16.7 points per game (42 percent from three), and coming up with 2.0 steals and 1.1 blocks per game with the Knicks.

Trent is in the midst of his second season with the Bucks. It's considered to be a down year so far (9.6 points, 37 percent from three), but his career averages are promising. Trent could be a valuable piece off the bench.

The cost for Golden State? Jonathan Kuminga, Buddy Hield, 2026, and 2032 unprotected picks. The Bucks load up on the Warriors' assets, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns, Deuce McBride, and more draft compensation.

Golden State's Bottom Line

The Warriors are already expected to part ways with their recently re-signed forward Jonathan Kuminga, so seeing his name in any mock draft seems on par.

Buddy Hield has had an up-and-down stint with the Warriors since last year, and is in the midst of a down season, shooting 29 percent from three and averaging fewer than 10 points for the first time since his rookie year.

If the Warriors get involved in a Giannis trade, they are going to want to land the big piece in the mega deal, but all signs have suggested that Antetokounmpo's top preference is the Knicks so far. If the Warriors can get better (they do, in this case), it should be a deal worth exploring.
