A former Chelsea player has been reacting after his new team played out a draw versus his former club on Saturday afternoon.
It was the latest round of Premier League games, and Chelsea had to go away again against another lower placed side in the league, Bournemouth. And for the second game in a row against a ‘lesser’ team, Chelsea struggled and could only manage a point in the 0-0 draw.

Chelsea’s player rating showed how poor The Blues were again, especially in the attacking areas on the pitch yesterday.
Although bizarrely, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez says that Chelsea played well against Bournemouth and thinks a point against the ‘intense’ side was a good result. OK, mate.
The goalkeeper up the other end of the pitch was Sanchez’s former team mate, Djordje Petrovic, who joined Bournemouth on a permanent deal in the summer. He’s been having a decent time at The Cherries and is their number one, more than what he was handed at Chelsea.

Petrović was pleased with the Cherries’ response.
“I think the draw was a fair result, and the clean sheet makes it even better,” he reflected.
“We had our chances, they had a few as well, and it was a really intense game.
“Against Everton we didn’t play at our level, but today there was much better energy.
“Great focus, playing on the front foot – that was a big positive for us.”
With little margin for error in such a tight encounter, Petrović highlighted the importance of discipline out of possession.
“In these games concentration is so important because one moment can decide it,” he said.
“Part of the job is staying focused even when there’s not a lot of action. You stay switched on through communication, helping the defenders, staying connected.
“I made a few saves, but as a team we did a really good job. To keep a clean sheet, it takes everyone.
“In the second half we had some good opportunities to score, and of course there was the disallowed goal in the first half,” he added. “Hopefully in the next game we get on the scoresheet because I think we probably deserved to today.”
