Ferran Torres delivered one of the most decisive individual performances of the season as Barcelona powered past Real Betis in a dramatic 5–3 victory.
The Spanish forward walked away with the match ball after scoring a superb hat-trick, taking his La Liga tally to an impressive 11 goals in just 15 league appearances.
Speaking after the match, Ferran reflected on both the joy of the achievement and his hunger for more.
He made it clear that while a hat trick is special, his motivation runs much deeper than statistics.
“You don’t score a hat trick every day, but the statistic of 11 goals doesn’t mean much to me.
“I knew I could be a starter at Barça, fight for a place, and I’m going for many more goals. My job is to keep making it difficult for the coach.”
Happy with the win
Despite being the star of the night, Ferran was quick to shift the spotlight away from himself and onto the collective effort.
He stressed how vital the victory was, especially given the quality of the opposition and the difficulty of the stadium.

“The most important thing, though, is winning on such a difficult pitch.
“As I always say, Betis is a direct rival at the top, one of those teams that makes things very difficult, and we knew we had to compete from the first minute.
“It was very important to win, and we knew how to react to their early goal. I think the most important thing was the reaction to the first goal.
“That’s one of our keys to success.”
Lamine Yamal’s role
Ferran was also asked about Lamine Yamal’s role in attacking midfield, a position the teenage sensation handled with remarkable ease despite his young age.
Interestingly, Ferran revealed that this tactical tweak had not been worked on extensively during the week, which made the performance even more impressive.
“I don’t think so, but he’s such a talented player that he plays there and does well. A player like Lamine adapts easily to any situation,” he concluded.
