Everton defeated Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest convincingly at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
David Moyes’ side are in a rich vein of form, having won four out of their last five Premier League games, moving up to fifth in the table.
Everton fans were delighted for Thierno Barry yesterday as he finally got off the mark following his £30m transfer from Villarreal.
Barry thanked Toffees fans after the game for sticking by him and is now hoping to really push on after a tough start to life on Merseyside.
Will Barry really kick on now?

Moyes reaffirmed his European hopes post-match, and based on Everton’s projected points, it seems they’ll certainly be in with a great chance of a top-seven finish.

Everton projected to finish on 60 points this season
Everton are one of the most in-form teams in the division at the moment and only reside a point off the top four.
Moyes’ side have turned a corner over the last few weeks, which has coincided with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall dropping into a deeper role and Carlos Alcaraz getting more game time.

If they were to maintain that average, they would end up finishing the season on 60 points, which would have them in and around the European spots.
Last season, 60 points would’ve got you ninth place, although the season beforehand, you would’ve finished in seventh.
Lots of teams are dropping points this year, so that tally would likely be enough to get into the UEFA Conference League, at the very least.
Everton now have a really tough run of fixtures
Everton have four more games left in 2025, and they’re quite difficult, so it will be a challenging festive period for Moyes’ side.
Granted, they face two relegation sides in Burnley and Forest, but they’re both away from home against sides scrapping for every point.
Chelsea (A)
Arsenal (H)
Burnley (A)
Nottingham Forest (A)
Looking at that run, seven or eight points would be a really good return, with two wins against Burnley and Forest and a point or two against the big six sides.

That would have them in and around the Champions League spots at Christmas, which would be pretty remarkable.
This time last year, Everton were staring down the barrel of a potential first relegation, so kudos to the Friedkin Group, who have helped to completely change the club’s fortunes.
