Ashley Cole names Joe Cole as the most underrated player he played with at Chelsea
In response to being asked about the most underrated player he has played with, Cole told The Overlap that it was Joe Cole.
Both men were teammates at Chelsea and in the England set-up, winning multiple trophies alongside each other at club level.
Ashley Cole was also asked about Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side and Arsenal’s Invisibles recently, being part of both teams.
A response that will make Arsenal fans hate him even more, Cole suggested that Chelsea were better than their London rivals, explaining that the Gunners could not break Mourinho’s men down.
Right now, Chelsea under Enzo Maresca are nowhere near as solid as Mourinho’s legendary side, but they have defended well this season.
They kept a clean sheet in their recent game against Bournemouth, their eighth of the campaign.

The current Chelsea player Joe Cole is most similar to
Chelsea have a lot of talented attackers in their squad right now like Cole. In terms of profile and how much they are valued, you can see similarities between Cole and Pedro Neto.
Cole was arguably not appreciated as much as some of his other teammates, and the same can also be said about Neto, who can go under the radar.
He perhaps works a bit harder on the wing, while Cole probably had a bit more control over his footwork. But Neto can beat a man on the flank with a bit of skill, as Cole often did.
