Everton could cancel the search for a new striker

These next few weeks leading into the January transfer window will probably be quite defining for Barry, as if he continues to score, the search for a new centre-forward could be cancelled.

It had been reported that Moyes was keen to sign a new striker this winter, with Troy Parrott heavily linked.

Will Barry really kick on now?

But, at this stage, it seems as though Barry is doing enough to place those plans on hold, at least until the summer window when the market is easier to do business in.

Instead of shelling out another £30m on a new attacker, Moyes may instead decide to bring in someone on loan, just to support Barry and Beto for six months.

The France under-21 international could do with a veteran to learn from, someone like Danny Welbeck at Brighton.
