**Everton Women held o**n** desperately to break Chelsea’s long unbeaten run in the WSL, stretching back to May 2024.**

Everton broke Chelsea’s long unbeaten run in the WSL, leaving the reigning champions six points off the top and moving themselves up to ninth place. The Toffees capitalised on their first opportunity on the break, with Honoka Hayashi sliding in to meet Toni Payne’s cross. Everton survived everything thrown at them, with the help of the woodwork twice during added time, clearances off the line, despite 28 shots plus 18 corners from the hosts.
Khadija Shaw slotted home a cross from Kerolin to put leaders Manchester City ahead at Leicester City, approaching the final quarter of an hour. Shaw made sure of the points with a header from Lauren Hemp’s corner. Shaw was involved again in stoppage-time, as Kerolin scored off her through ball.
Manchester United edged past West Ham with a narrow 2-1 victory to climb back into third place. Elisabeth Terland gave United the breakthrough approaching the interval via an Anna Sandberg cross. The Hammers equalised early in the second half, with Shekiera Martinez finding the net after a setup from Riko Ueki. Dominique Janssen restored the advantage from a free kick with 17 minutes to go.

Tottenham Hotspur had to come from behind to win after ten-player Aston Villa had taken a late lead, as the hosts again sit level on points with Arsenal. Villa’s Océane Deslandes received a second caution for a bad foul on Olivia Holdt with 25 minutes left to play. Shortly after, Spurs’ Jess Naz went down injured and had to be stretchered off. A breakaway move put Villa ahead through Kirsty Hanson, but Spurs instantly hit back with Beth England’s glancing header from Amanda Nilden’s cross. In added time, Drew Spence set up Holdt to slam the ball past Sabrina D’Angelo into the back of the net.
Brighton are within a point of sixth-placed London City Lionesses, whom they beat away with an early goal. Kiko Seike scored the only goal of the game, assisted by Madison Haley, after just six minutes.
