Everton fans were treated to their side scoring three goals in a Premier League game for just the second time this season in a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
But events elsewhere in the Premier League on Saturday could set Everton back in the long run when it comes to the transfer market.
Goals from Thierno Barry and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, alongside an own goal from Nottingham Forest defender Nikola Milenkovic set the tone on a memorable afternoon at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
But with former forward and supposed target Richarlison scoring yet again for Tottenham against Brentford, it appears more and more likely that he won’t be making his return to Merseyside anytime soon.

Richarlison scored yet again for Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday
Richarlison is now entering his fourth season at Tottenham, where in previous years, he’s only been a bit-part player in north London. However, this season is the first in which the attacker has really made a dent in their first-team plans.
A brace on the opening day against Burnley has been followed up by strikes against Brighton, Manchester United and Arsenal. And his finish at Brentford put him onto six Premier League goals for the campaign, inside just nine starts in the league.

But it’s likely that his form, especially ahead of the World Cup, will see Tottenham refuse to sell him. A move was even deemed as ‘unlikely’ earlier in the week.
Thierno Barry did score his first goal in Everton colours and fans will hope to see him kick on, especially with the busy festive fixture list taking a hold.
But Richarlison’s talent is evident and having notched his 70th Premier League goal, he’ll be determined to reach 100.
