Robert Sanchez has been in good form for Chelsea, and after a game where we kept a clean sheet but created desperately little in attack, the goalkeeper was the natural choice to speak to the media to give a bit more of a positive outlook.

“Of course, there’s a sense of disappointment we couldn’t get the win,” said the Spaniard in quotes on the club’s official website.
“Coming from a loss in the last game, we wanted to redeem ourselves and get three points and a clean sheet. We created chances, I think we played well, we missed that goal, but we kept a clean sheet and we didn’t lose the game.
“If you cannot win, try not to lose and that’s what we did. We will take the point and we will go to the next game and try to get three.
“We know what our goal is, we know we have quality and we want to do as best as we can. So we want to make sure we keep going, try and get as many wins as we can, so we have to keep grinding and get some wins.”
If he can keep steady at the back, that improve our chances of getting those wins greatly. We’re not sure agreed we “played well,” but it wasn’t a total disaster and we have the chance to make up for it next week.
In other news…
Alejandro Garnacho was decent on the left wing last night – that was pretty much the only positive you could take from our attack, which was totally toothless despite the return of Cole Palmer.
If you really dig deep you can find one positive from the game – our defensive partnership managed to keep a clean sheet, continuing to cement the Chalobah – Fofana duo as the best we’ve got.
