Both Newcastle United and West Ham United have been mentioned as two clubs keen on signing a Chelsea defender.

And what is the situation?
Well, said player has become a bit of a forgotten man at Chelsea and in football, because he’s been nowhere to be seen of late.
Although having said that, centre back Axel Disasi has been playing for Chelsea’s U21s in the last month or so as they club look to get him fully match fit for what you’d assume is an attempt to shop him out to a new club in the January transfer window.

An exclusive report from our colleagues at Caught Offside over the weekend claims that several clubs are lining up concrete moves for Disasi ahead of the winter transfer window.
Dortmund in Germany are named as the first club interested in Disasi, but they also state that Galatasaray, Juventus, Newcastle United and West Ham are all monitoring the situation as they look for experienced defensive reinforcements.
There are probably a few names there that will more than interest Disasi as he looks to get his career back on track.

We have our full match report out from another disappointing performance from Enzo Maresca’s side on Saturday as they failed to beat midtable strugglers Bournemouth in a dull 0-0 draw.
Striker Liam Delap went off injured in that game and everyone feared the worst. And it looks like those fears might be warranted, with the out of luck forward set to be out for 6-8 weeks with a dislocated shoulder now. Another injury for Delap, and another huge blow for all involved.
