Injuries could force Arsenal to dip into the transfer market in January.
Despite having built a squad with cover in every position, the club is once again suffering from a spate of injuries to key players, including three out of their four first choice centre-backs. Kai Havertz meanwhile is still absent, having been injured during the first Premier League match of the season away to Manchester United.
And now Mikel Arteta has hinted that the club is ready to move if the right player becomes available.
Arteta knows full well that injuries had a serious destabilising effect on their title challenge last season, and with the club in arguably a stronger position a year later, he is keen to avoid a repeat.
The injury situation has not been helped by the current schedule, which will see the team play virtually every three days until February. That means there is barely enough time to recover and do a minimum of training, until the next match is upon the squad.
