(Video): Chelsea players ignore their coaches and put in dangerous tackles as they enjoy open…

Chelsea are taking their open training session ahead of their game against Atalanta tomorrow night in the Champions League, and as always there were a few things to note in the session.

One thing we saw was Tosin taking an exercise way too seriously – he and Joao Pedro raced for a ball and the defender went to ground.

We’re not just worried about him injuring JP – you can see that Tosin goes to ground before his striker gets there – we’re more worried about him hurting himself. He really puts his knees in a vulnerable position there, and JP almost accidentally treads on him too.

We’re happy they’re having fun – couldn’t they have fun in a slightly less risky way, however?

Another person having a real laugh in the session was Pedro Neto. The Portuguese winger was very much on the wind-up throughout, and he made a real point of celebrating with his teammates from one of the games after beating another group.

You feel for the coaches in these situations – you can hear them trying to get the players’ attention with little success.

In other news…

One person who wasn’t in the session today was Cole Palmer – but we’ve been assured this was all totally normal. He’s just being managed on his return from injury, and we already know when we will next see him in the team.

One player who will have been training extra hard today is Marc Guiu – with Liam Delap now set to miss a couple of months with an injury, Guiu is back in the frame for more starts and more minutes. Let’s hope he can turn that into more goals.
