Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk may have his drugs ban lifted next month, according to reports in the French media.
Foot Mercato claim that the date – January 17th 2026 – could prove to be significant.
Mudryk has not played since being given a provisional suspension for taking Meldonium in December 2024.
There were suggestions that the Ukrainian international may be banned for up to four years, but if Foot Mercato‘s information is accurate, he could be back training in just over a month.
Mudryk is not expected to stay at Stamford Bridge
Despite his potential comeback, the forward is unlikely to remain with Chelsea if he is eligible to play football again in the second half of the season.

A loan or permanent transfer away from the Blues is said to be a genuine possibility, depending on which team Mudryk joins.
Spanish side Sevilla are thought to be keen, with the Spanish media reporting that they are likely to propose a loan until the summer.
However, there is a possibility that Mudryk will stay in Blueco’s stable of clubs, even if he does depart Chelsea.
Chelsea could offload him to Strasbourg
Foot Mercato claim that Mudryk may well make the move to France next year, where he could build up his fitness and get game time away from Stamford Bridge.
Due to the number of loan signings that Strasbourg already have, though, any switch would have to be a permanent one.
Such deals between Chelsea and Strasbourg are pretty common. The Blues will sign Emmanuel Emegha next summer, while they bought Mamadou Sarr and loaned him back to the Ligue One side.
Ben Chilwell, meanwhile, joined Strasbourg on a free in September, so there would be scope for Mudryk to make a similar switch.
