David Moyes has had some incredible goalscoring midfielders over the years during his time as Everton boss in the Premier League.
The likes of Tim Cahill, Mikel Arteta, Marouane Fellaini and Leon Osman have all been superb at sticking the ball in the net under David Moyes in recent years.
The Scottish gaffer is now back at the Everton helm, this time at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with a point to prove by aiming for European football in the coming months.
And one star who has helped him massively is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – with the duo proving to be the ideal match for the Toffees.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is in the best goalscoring form of his top-flight career
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall signed for Everton in the summer transfer window from Chelsea, having failed to break into their starting XI under Enzo Maresca.
It’s fair to say the the former Leicester City star is having an incredibly huge impact at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with three goals in his last four.
That goalscoring tally has propelled the Toffees up the table, sitting in seventh after gameweek 15.
Struggling to think of anyone who deserves it more than KDH…🤔

But, incredibly, despite Dewsbury-Hall looking at home in front of goal, his four-goal tally in just 14 Premier League games this season is more than he’d scored in his 72 top-flight games overall for Leicester City and Chelsea, with three up until the move.
It’s more than just a purple patch – it’s the concrete evidence of what can happen to a player on a confidence level, once you put trust in him and build around his ability.
David Moyes and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall were both exactly what one another needed for their careers
Dewsbury-Hall came through the Leicester City side as an understudy to James Maddison, Youri Tielemans and Wilfred Ndidi amongst a host of others
However, it’s fair to say that the Englishman didn’t garner much in terms of starting minutes, only doing so in the Championship.
His form in the second-tier was impeccable and dragged Leicester to the title, prompting a move to Chelsea – though he only properly played for the Blues in the Conference League and in cup competitions.
Has Dewsbury-Hall just become Everton’s most important player? 🤔

It’s clear that he was too good for the Championship, but in need of secure minutes at an established Premier League club.
That was the perfect foil for Everton boss David Moyes to swoop in. Dewsbury-Hall continues to be heralded by Everton fans, and his role in Moyes’ campaign means that the duo are both exactly what the other needed – composure, talent and midfield depth in Moyes’ case, whilst Dewsbury-Hall needed an established boss who was willing to make him the focal point of the team.
