Such poor form has seen Arne Slot make some big calls, including dropping Mohamed Salah, which has not gone down well with the player.
Mohamed Salah training alone
Salah hit out at Slot and Liverpool in an explosive interview after the 3-3 draw with Leeds United on Saturday.
Since then, it has been revealed that the Egyptian will not face Inter Milan, being left at home as the rest of the squad made the trip to Italy on Monday.
Now, the 33-year-old has taken to Instagram on December 9 to reveal what he is doing after not being selected for the midweek clash.

Salah posted a photo of himself sitting on a bench in the middle of the AXA Training Centre’s gym.
There was no caption or any form of comment from the Liverpool ace, but it’s still garnering plenty of attention with over 198,000 likes at the time of writing.
The staggering sum Liverpool would save on wages if Mohamed Salah leaves. How would you reinvest it?💰
“As well as Salah’s wages, which reportedly are around £400,000 per week, you’re also looking at a saving in National Insurance contributions. That’s not a trivial sum. National Insurance is set at 15 per cent as of April 2025, so if £400,000 is Salah’s basic weekly wage, Liverpool are also paying another £60,000 on top of that.
“Over the course of 18 months, that’s another £4.7m. The numbers aren’t an exact science, because some of Salah’s wages will be paid as image rights, which are taxed recently.”

Will Mohamed Salah play against Brighton
After Inter, the Reds clash with Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League this coming Saturday.
Slot spoke about Salah on Monday, and his comments seem to suggest their relationship is not beyond repair.
He said: “It is not the way I feel [that the relationship is broken], but he has the right to feel how he feels things. I have not felt that at all until Saturday evening.
“When I don’t play him anymore, usually players don’t like the manager then that much but he was very respectful to my staff members and his team-mates. He trained really hard. To an extent, it was a surprise to me when I heard that he gave the comments he gave.
“It is not the first and not the last time when a player doesn’t play that he says something similar to what he did. My reaction to that is clear, that is that he is not here.”
Meanwhile, Oliver Kay has said this week that Salah could be considered for selection against the Seagulls.
