Everton players are beginning to get a real sense of that winning feeling having secured four victories from their last five games.
That is something the club has not had for a long time, but there was one former Everton player who Ashley Cole said was the worst loser he’s ever played with.
David Moyes has managed some quality players during his time in management and this Everton side is showing signs of being able to pull off something special this season.
Speaking after the game on Saturday, Moyes has insisted Everton can dream of European qualification.
If the Blues are to reach those heights, they are going to need to rely on the experience of players like Jack Grealish, who know what it’s like to win at the highest level.
And there is one former player who could offer the current crop a lot of advice having shown just how much he hated losing.

Cole very quickly responded by saying Rooney, as he also named the 40-year-old as the most competitive player he played alongside.
Players like Rooney do not come around very often, but he is exactly the type of player that would elevate this Everton side to the next level.
Rooney recently hailed Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye for the work they’ve been doing off the pitch with some of Everton’s academy players.
The former Everton striker has made a number of visits to Everton in recent months and his winning mentality may just have rubbed off on the current side, who sit seventh in the Premier League.
Cole mocks Leighton Baines for having the worst music taste
Rooney was not the only former Everton player who got it from Cole during the teammates challenge.
Leighton Baines competed alongside Cole for a spot in the England national team at left-back, but the former Chelsea man did not enjoy his music taste.
Former Premier League forward Rickie Lambert said Baines had the best left foot he’s seen on a player.
The former Everton left-back is now excelling as a coach under Moyes at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
But it must not be lost on the 62-year-old that Moyes had to be forced into signing Baines during his first stint on Merseyside.
