Real Madrid attacker Kylian Mbappé did not train with the rest of the group this Tuesday and is questionable to face Manchester City in Wednesday’s Champions League match, club sources told Managing Madrid. Mbappé finished Sunday’s match against Celta Vigo with minor physical problems and it looks like they could prevent him from facing City.
However, Mbappé will try his very best to be ready for that game. It is a crucial match, a season-defining one, and the French striker knows how crucial his presence is.
If Mbappé can’t go, Gonzalo García will likely replace him in the starting lineup. The Spanish striker performed at a very high level in the FIFA Club World Cup and has been waiting for a decent opportunity ever since, so it will be interesting to see how he performs if he’s given the chance to replace Mbappé.
