“Is it possible?” – Gianfranco Zola on how to setup with two Chelsea stars starting

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has been speaking about whether it’s possible to start to Chelsea stars together right now.

A lot of the debate around recent results and games is Chelsea’s attack and how it’s not been very good lately.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea have THREE Premier League centre midfielders on the radar – two they would LOVE to sign!

Chelsea have not won in their last three Premier League games, also only scoring two goals along the way – they need to step up in attack and Enzo Maresca has to come up with solutions to get his team scoring more again.

The Blues played out a dull 0-0 draw against Bournemouth on Saturday, which followed a 3-1 defeat to Leeds United last week. Scoring only one goal in these two games will be a cause for concern and something that Maresca will be looking to improve on in the next few games, starting tonight in Italy for their Champions League clash against Atalanta.

There will be no Cole Palmer in this squad due to simply being rested for his recovery, but another rising star Estevao Willian has a chance of starting later.

Can these two play together?

Zola was asked if Estevao and Palmer can play together.

In an interview with The Times, Zola said: “Is it possible? Of course it is. Anything is when you are dealing with such good players. Enzo also has guys like [Alejandro] Garnacho and Pedro Neto to fit in, and both of them like Estevao are very comfortable playing a bit wider. There’s a lot of flexibility and interchangeability in those forward areas, which gives Maresca a lot of options.

“I do prefer Palmer as a 10, because in that position he gives fewer reference points to the opposition. He’s an intelligent player. He always finds himself in the right places and so often he’s the one to provide the decisive touch. He’ll do well in other roles as well, but I really do think he’s cut out to be a number 10.”
