A quartet of academy players trained with the Arsenal first-team squad today ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League game away to Club Brugge.
Centre-back Marli Salmon, who was on the bench against Aston Villa, was called upon for the session along with right-back Josh Nichols and left-back Marcell Washington.
Midfielder Louie Copley, the captain of Arsenal’s U21 side, also trained with the squad.
Salmon, Nichols and Copley are all eligible to be called up in the Champions League but Washington isn’t.
According to Sky Sports, Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard were both working indoors amid minor injuries, with William Saliba still absent.
Gabriel Magalhaes, Cristhian Mosquera and Kai Havertz all remain sidelined, while Gabriel Jesus isn’t part of Arsenal’s Champions League squad but trained today.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is continuing to train with Arsenal’s U21 squad.
