Chelsea are heavily involved once again as a player gets hit with bad long term injury news this week.
The club have done well lately to get on top of their injuries. Although recently they have started to creep back in again, but I guess that’s no surprise when they barely got a break over the summer due to playing in and winning The Club World Cup.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea have THREE Premier League centre midfielders on the radar – two they would LOVE to sign!
Maresca has even been speaking about the busy schedule they have to deal with this season, playing every 2-3 days and honing in on the bad effect it’s been having.
But thankfully, at least for Chelsea right now at least, the player in question here is not yet a Blues player – although he is joining them officially the moment he turns 18 at the end of this season.

Future Chelsea star Geovany Quenda has suffered a serious injury that has put an end to his playing time for this year at the very least.
According to Record Portugal, the Portuguese winger has suffered a fracture to his foot, and is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
He could now be about to miss as much as two months of action at a critical time of the season for Sporting, per the same report.
Looks like a top player
I really hope he isn’t out for that long, because Quenda looks like a very good player and he is in some really good form for his club this season.
I think it would be important for him to keep playing to keep developing at the rate he has been, ahead of maybe joining Chelsea’s first team squad in the summer, as is what is expected to happen.
