Their loss over the weekend handed Man City a chance to close the gap at the top of the table, as they beat Sunderland 3-0 over the weekend to bring the gap down to just two points at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal now go into their next league game against Wolves, desperate to get back to winning ways to ensure that Pep Guardiola’s side don’t gain more ground on them or even overtake them at the top of the table.

Scholes says Arsenal have “no chance” to win the league

After their defeat to Villa, former Man United midfielder Paul Scholes has taken a shot at Arsenal, saying that they have no chance to win the league, as they can’t win in the big games.

Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football Podcast: “Man City have a great chance now, don’t they? I still don’t think they’re quite right but they always get better in the second-half of the season and the thing with Arsenal is they can’t win a big game.

“Until they start winning big games they’ve got no chance of winning the league. They lost to Liverpool, they couldn’t beat Man City at home when they were struggling.
