Chelsea forward Joao Pedro put his side 1-0 up against Atalanta in Bergamo this evening, the Brazilian’s first goal in the Champions League.

After a slick ball across the face of goal from Chelsea star Reece James, Joao Pedro was there to poke it in and, after a lengthy VAR check, the goal was confirmed.

Atalanta could have done their qualification hopes a world of good with a win against Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea but trail heading into half-time.

La Dea also suffered an injury blow in the first half, with Raoul Bellanova forced off with an injury and replaced by Davide Zappacosta.
