Jamie Carragher pinpointed support for Arne Slot from Liverpool fans as 'really telling' after the Dutchman led his side to a vital 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Liverpool had come into the match against last season's Champions League runners-up without Mohamed Salah, following his outburst on the weekend.
Salah had claimed he now has 'no relationship' with Slot and was being 'thrown under the bus' for the reigning English champions struggles this season.
Slot had been forced to answer numerous questions about Salah ahead of the match, with the Egyptian having been left out of their travelling squad for the match.
Liverpool fans had shown their support for Slot during the match at the San Siro, with supporters heard chanting the Dutchman's name.
Slot and Liverpool's fans were able to celebrate a late 1-0 victory, as Dominik Szoboszlai scored from the penalty spot in the 88th minute.

Liverpool earned a 1-0 victory without Salah in a massive boost to their Champions League hopes
Speaking on CBS Sports, Liverpool legend Carragher said he was 'over the moon' for Slot to have earned a big win in the aftermath of Salah's comments, while he pointed to the fans' support as being significant.
'I was so desperate for Liverpool to win tonight, as I am every time Liverpool play, as you know,' Carragher said.
'More so for the manager, for what he has been through in the last few days.
'I don't know him that well, I've got no real relationship with him, but he is the Liverpool manager, we know what has gone on and we don't need to go into that.
'I think what was really telling was supporters chanting his name, not when it went 1-0, but when it was 0-0.
'The supporters who go home and away to watch Liverpool and know the score about what has gone on over the last few days.
'They are right behind the manager and even more so on the back of that result, it is a massive result at a very tough place to go and they needed that off the back of losing their last game in the Champions League at home.
'I am happy for him more than anything, it has been tough all season for him, I think he as a manager needs to do better in getting more results with the squad he has.
Jen Beattie and Thierry Henry attempted to calm down Carragher and Micah Richards after the pair debated Salah's outburst on the weekend, with the latter coming to the forward's defence
'It is a massive result for the manager and I am absolutely over the moon for him'.
Carragher had labelled Salah a 'disgrace' during an eight-minute rant on Monday, as he reflected on the winger's outburst over the weekend.
He claimed Salah's comments had been 'choreographed' to cause 'maximum damage' to the club, while he suggested the comments may have been an attempt to get Slot sacked.
Curiously Liverpool's victory was their first away win in the Champions League without Salah since 2009, incidentally the final match Carragher played for the Reds in Europe's elite club competition.
Carragher's frustration at Salah had continued on CBS Sports on Tuesday, when fellow pundit Micah Richards came to the winger's defence.
As the pair clashed, Thierry Henry attempted to lighten the mood and calm his fellow pundits be massaging their shoulders.
Henry was joined by Jen Beattie, with the duo then proceeding to stroke their foreheads in a light-hearted attempt to calm Carragher and Richards.
