The last 12 months have seen some major changes made at Everton, which has the club finally looking in a positive direction.
David Moyes’ return at the start of the year was the first big decision made by The Friedkin Group following their takeover last December.
It has been a whirlwind 12 months, which now has Everton looking like a side that could mount a push for the European spots.
Everton News columnist Alan Myers has urged Everton’s owners to back Moyes again in the January transfer window.
Having the 62-year-old back on Merseyside has been a big boost for the Blues, with Moyes pushing the club back in the right direction.
As expectations begin to grow, professional golfer and huge Everton fan Tommy Fleetwood has shared what some of the players have told him about Moyes from behind-the-scenes.

Who would you like to see eventually replace David Moyes at Everton?
“I certainly won’t be here for what I did before (over 11 years). I will just take it as it goes, we have done a good job here in getting us safe because that was a problem that the club could have been relegated.
“I’ll take the next two years and see how we go. I have a couple of years left.”

“He’s had such a great effect since he’s been back,” said Fleetwood.
“From what I’ve heard, from some of the players, everybody has just spoken really positively of him as a manager.
“We’ve had some amazing times under him. I think he did such an amazing job last season and we’ve made a great start this season. I think you just have so much faith in him and no matter what happens, you just feel David Moyes is the right man for the job.”
Moyes thinks Everton can push for European qualification this season on the back of their recent form in the Premier League.
It will be a big ask, but it is clear that the players have full belief that the 62-year-old is the right man for the job on Merseyside.

Everton News understands that The Friedkin Group are calm over Moyes’ Everton future following speculation earlier in the season surrounding Brendan Rodgers.
Moyes was given the backing by the new owners over the summer and the same will be required in January.
The 62-year-old has made no secret of not wanting to spend years and years in management, which will only add fuel to the long-term picture on Merseyside.
