Arsenal forward Max Dowman is set to miss the next two months of action with an ankle injury, according to David Ornstein.
The Gunners saw the 15-year-old teenage sensation break into the first-team this season and shine in the Premier League and Champions League, where he became the youngest player in the competition's history to make an appearance.
But while playing for the club's youth team last weekend, Dowman was on the wrong end of a bad challenge against Manchester United and he is now set to be on the sidelines for around two months in a blow to manager Mikel Arteta.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Dowman suffered a bad challenge during a friendly match on Saturday, but is not expected to undergo surgery for the problem after he picked up ankle ligament damage.
It was revealed on Tuesday that the Gunners had replaced Dowman in their Champions League squad list with Brazil international Gabriel Jesus, who has missed almost a year of action after rupturing his ACL in January 2025, with UEFA rules allowing changes for long-term injuries.
It's now understood that Dowman is unlikely to feature again for around eight weeks, despite no surgery being needed, but that would rule him out of the rest of the League Phase in Europe, and means he doesn't need to be in the squad list, while Jesus has recently returned to match-day squads, although he is yet to get on the pitch.
Arsenal Injury Crisis Deepens

Dowman's injury is the latest in a string of fitness problems that Arteta has had to deal with at the Emirates Stadium this season.
Kai Havertz is yet to feature due to a knee injury picked up in pre-season, while all of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Piero Hincapie and Ben White have missed parts of the campaign.
Arsenal will be without Declan Rice, Trossard and Saliba - as well as Dowman - for the Wednesday Champions League clash against Club Brugge, as the club look to maintain their 100% record in the competition.
