Steven Gerrard has weighed-in on the Mohamed Salah situation. The Egyptian was not taken with to the San Siro vs Inter Milan as Dominik Szoboszlai’s late penalty secured all three points for Arne Slot’s men. Now Speaking on TNT Sports, Steven Gerrard has commented on the situation: “He’s obviously really upset he’s not playing, which I respect. He won’t sit out the team, I respect.” A couple of lines about throwing people under the boss, wrong.” He needs to reverse a little bit away from that, he needs to deal with that with the manager. This needs Virgil van Dijk to go ‘I will sort this out’ for the benefit of not even so much the club or the team. It’s the fans.”

With Brighton visiting Anfield on Saturday and the Egyptian set to depart for AFCON shortly after, the next few days could define the final chapter of one of the club’s greatest-ever players.
