Bad news Manchester City. Kylian Mbappé is set to be available for the big Champions League clash this evening.
That’s according to AS. They report that Mbappé wants to play despite discomfort in his knee and a broken finger. There is, though, a question of whether he starts or not.
The newspaper reports that Real Madrid have made it official that Mbappé will feature in the game, despite doubts about him. He wants to play and they have worked tirelessly in the last 48 hours to make that happen.
The forward has gone through long physiotherapy sessions, compression therapy and various other treatments to be available. The strain in his knee remains but he sees the game against Manchester City as one to make an effort for.
The dilemma for Real Madrid is if he starts. There is a thought to leave him as a ‘saviour’ on the bench, a ‘real gem’ up their sleeve. What progress he makes in the next few hours will determine how he is used.
But his mere presence is a boost as he’s now the undisputed star, playing 97% of the minutes this season. He’s also scored 57% of Real Madrid’s goals. They need him, and him being fit and available, is a major boost as they look to overcome Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu.
