Everton are heading into the January transfer window with a real opportunity to bolster their squad for a big second half of the season.
David Moyes will be delighted with the way things are going on Merseyside following the club’s fourth win in their last five games.
Firmly in the top half of the table, Everton look like a side who could be capable of pushing for a place in the European spots.
A lot of business was done over the summer and Moyes was delighted with Everton’s transfer work to provide him with nine new players.
However, the Blues are just 15 games into the season and there are some areas of the squad that will require some strengthening.
Ahead of the window opening, there is one clear area that Everton are looking to improve.

There is a belief that there is a keenness inside the club to keep James Garner playing in his natural position in the midfield.
Garner has impressed Moyes this season through demonstrating his versatility in playing across a number of different positions.
The report claims Botafogo right-back Vitinho is a player who is being considered for a move in the January window.
It is certainly a position where Moyes is finding himself extremely short amid the ongoing injury woes on Merseyside.
Who is Vitinho?
Having made the move from Burnley to Botafogo last summer, Vitinho played a whopping 63 games for the Brazilian outfit last season.
It is an area of the pitch that has become a real issue for Everton in terms of depth.
O’Brien has been hailed for his potential by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but his ability to get forward has been a major issue.
This is an area of his game where Vitinho could potentially really improve Everton.
Moyes wants his full-back’s offering more in an attacking sense, he could be the answer if he was to make a return to England.
