Liverpool aren't planning a farewell for [Mo Salah](http://Mo Salah), despite the unsettled superstar hinting that their clash with Brighton on Saturday could be his final game for the club. Salah, 33, gave an explosive interview last weekend in which he accused Liverpool of throwing him 'under the bus', and claimed that he now has 'no relationship' with manager Arne Slot.

The Egyptian was subsequently left out of Liverpool's squad to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday and posted a cryptic photo on social media hours before the Reds' controversial 1-0 win. Their focus is now on Saturday's home game against Brighton, with Salah revealing that he's invited his mum to Anfield as it could be his last appearance there.

Next week, the forward will jet off to the Africa Cup of Nations to captain Egypt. It'll be January when Salah can next play for Liverpool and the transfer window will already be open.

Several clubs from Saudi Arabia are lining up offers sign the 33-year-old, and while Liverpool are braced for official bids next month, they want to protect his value by not giving him a farewell this weekend.

That's according to the Telegraph, who report that Liverpool believe the image of Salah waving goodbye to their supporters would work against them during negotiations. Anfield chiefs don't want to give prospective buyers the impression that Salah, who's under contract until 2027, is past the point of no return, as Slot hinted on Tuesday.

"Everyone makes mistakes in life, but does the player think he's made a mistake?" the Liverpool boss asked during a tense post-match chat with Prime Video Sport pundit Clarence Seedorf. "The next question is, should the initiative come from him or me? That's another question to answer."

Slot added: "I think tonight it should be all about a team like this tonight, against a team like this who are winning and a stadium like this. The focus should be on that tonight. I can fully understand if I go into the press conference on Friday and all the questions are on Mo but I think these players deserve for it to be about them tonight."

Saudi Pro League chief executive Omar Mugharbel confirmed that Salah was a target when speaking at the World Football Summit in Riyadh. Mohamed Salah is welcome in the Saudi League, but it is the clubs that are responsible for negotiating with players," Mugharbel explained. "For sure, Salah is one of (their targets)".

Salah is yet to learn whether he'll in the squad to face Brighton, having been started on the bench for Liverpool's previous three games before the trip to Milan. He played just 45 minutes during that run, coming on as a half-time substitute against Sunderland.

"I will be in Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go to the Africa Cup of Nations," Salah stated during the aforementioned interview. "I don't know what is going to happen when I am there."
