The upcoming first-ever return of the “Sacramento” Air Jordan 10 isn’t the only NBA-themed look on the horizon for the brand. After talks of a new Los Angeles Lakers-inspired Air Jordan 4 surfaced in June, a first look at the upcoming style has surfaced.
As expected, the so-called “Lakeshow” Air Jordan 4 Retro sneakers feature an Imperial Purple/Multi-Color/Multi-Color colorway which translates to a dark purple nubuck base across Michael Jordan’s popular retro model. Black and gray details fill in the model’s technical components, while a Lakers gold fills in the branding, including on its speckled Nike Air heel logo and visible Air unit.

Similar to 2012’s Cleveland Cavaliers-inspired Air Jordan 4 — as well as a new Cavs-colored Air Jordan 8 set to arrive next year — this new Lakers-themed Air Jordan 4 takes inspiration from one of Jordan’s greatest rivalries. Jordan and the Bulls would frequently spar with the Lakers during their heyday, including the 1991 NBA Finals and frequently in regular season action. Accompanying the new Air Jordan 4 Retro colorway is the return of a fan-favorite Jordan shoebox. Used for Air Jordan releases in the early 2000s, the silver packaging includes an image of Jordan’s face on the top. Also expected to return in ’26 are Jordan retro cards which historically featured images of every Air Jordan sneaker.
Pictured here in grade school sizing (style code IB4171-500), the Lakers-themed Air Jordan 4 Retro is expected to feature matching details on men’s-sized pairs, which have a style code of FV5029-500**.**
Said to coincide with NBA All-Star Weekend 2026 in Los Angeles, the new Air Jordan 4 Retro style is slated to be released in February for a retail price of $220 in men’s sizes, with prices decreasing incrementally from there.
