Chris Paul has finally broken his silence after his shock axing by the LA Clippers.
At the start of December, it was revealed that veteran star Paul had been cut from the Clippers roster in a bombshell announcement that stunned NBA fans.
Paul - who is now 40 - had previously announced his decision to retire at the end of the season, keen to bring his career to a close back at his most successful team.
However, that dream was crushed when the Clippers released the bombshell news that Paul had been cut and now, weeks on, the 40-year-old has broken his silence.
In an interview with People, Paul acknowledged the situation before noting the silver lining that his exit may have.
He explained: 'Stuff's been a little crazy in the past few days — to say the least. But honestly, I'm home. My daughter had tryouts yesterday. My nephew had a basketball game. My son has a game coming up on the 12th.'

Reports claim that Paul's relationship with head coach Tyronn Lue had deteriorated
'I have never seen my son play a game in person,' he added 'Not a middle school game, not a high school game. So I'm excited about seeing him play.'
Paul went on to discuss the moment he discovered he had been cut and admitted that he didn't 'regret anything' about going public with the news.
'I was in Atlanta with a whole bunch of family. It was my last time gonna be playing there. That's life,' he explained.
'The whole thing took on a life of its own, you know? But I'm excited to be back here with my family'.
Paul was evidently left stunned by the move, posting on Instagram around 2am after it was announced: 'Just found out I'm being sent home.'
He recently announced his intention to retire at the end of the season after returning to the Clippers on a one-year, $3.6 million deal.
Due to league rules, the Clippers cannot trade him until December 15, although they can waive him if they're willing to absorb his entire salary for the season.
In the wake of the Clippers' decision, reports claimed that Paul and head coach Tyronn Lue weren't on speaking terms for several weeks before their abrupt split.

As sources told NBA insider Shams Charania, the 40-year-old Paul's leadership style was clashing with the Clippers brass after the veteran point guard held executives, coaches and teammates accountable.
Rather than embrace that tough love, the 5-16 Clippers instead felt Paul was becoming disruptive.
For his part, Lue responded to the decision before LA ended its five-game losing skid.
'I just think it wasn't a good fit for what he was looking for,' Lue said. 'It is what it is. Do I want to see CP go out like this? No. I have a lot of respect for him.
'He's been a friend of mine over the years. You never wanna see a great go out like this. But I'm pretty sure he will find something because he's a great player. ... I didn't wanna see it end like this.'
