A Chelsea player has now got a new injury and will be out for around two months, but there’s a bit of good news too.
Well, two bits of good news really from a Chelsea perspective at least, because after all, this is a Chelsea website!
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea have THREE Premier League centre midfielders on the radar – two they would LOVE to sign!
For Sporting over in Portugal, maybe not so much good news – or not ANY good news at all actually, because they have just lost one of their best players for two months through injury.
Youngster Geovany Quenda is joining Chelsea in the summer when he turns 18, but until then, he is playing out the rest of the season at Sporting. But he’s a Chelsea player and it sounds like he is very much going to be in the first team plans going into next season.
Anyhow though, he’s just suffered a new injury and is now set to be side-lined for around two months – not good news for him or for Sporting.

Well, it sounds like he is going to make good use of his time off in a sense of getting prepared to join Chelsea in the summer!
The Daily Mail are reporting that Quenda has suffered an ankle injury which is set to sideline him for 2 months. Quenda is fully focused on his recovery now and not expected to use that lay-off as an excuse to visit London to familiarise himself further with his new club.
In other news today
Reece James has conducted a team meeting with the rest of the payers, as Chelsea captain, in order to discuss their recent struggles against the lesser teams and how to control them better.
This comes off the back of Chelsea losing 2-1 to Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday night earlier this week.
