“With immediate effect” – Fabrizio Romano provides interesting update on key Chelsea star

Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez has signed with a new agency co-founded by former PSG star Javier Pastore according to Fabrizio Romano.

Fernandez has been a key player for Chelsea since joining from Benfica in January 2023 for a then British record of £106m.

The World Cup winner had his best campaign for the Blues last season, as he registered 26 goal contributions in all competitions as Chelsea won the Conference League and Club World Cup.

Enzo Fernandez signs with new agency

Fernandez has made a good start to the season and has five goals and two assists in 22 appearances in all competitions.

However, the 24-year-old has struggled in the last three games, and Maresca revealed he subbed Fernandez in the defeat to Atalanta because he wasn’t 100%.

Given Moises Caicedo has been suspended, and Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo are both injured, Fernandez has been unable to be rested.

Fernandez has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but his love for Chelsea is clear, although Romano has provided an update which might add some fuel to the transfer rumours.

He took to X.com and said:

“Enzo Fernández has signed with a new agency, “The Elegant Game” as new representatives with immediate effect.

“The co-founder of the agency is former PSG star Javier ‘El Flaco’ Pastore.”

Moises Caicedo switched agents earlier in the season

Fernandez isn’t the only Chelsea player to have switched agents this season, with Moises Caicedo also doing the same in October.
