Farke remains keen to add one more striker to his squad as his new 5-3-2 system will need more options in the squad to play in one of the two forward positions.
Leeds are also looking to add another winger and an attacking midfielder to their squad. Their search has led them to try to sign a Chelsea winger in January.
Leeds United want Chelsea winger Tyrique George in the January transfer window
A product of the Chelsea academy, the 19-year-old winger is struggling to get game time this season and has not featured in the Premier League since October.
The teenager is frustrated with life at Chelsea and is keen to leave the club in January to play more first-team football for his development.
According to TEAMTalk, Leeds are among the clubs that are keeping close tabs on his situation ahead of the January transfer window.
The Whites are interested in the Chelsea winger, and are prepared to offer him a route to Elland Road, where he can play more first-team football.
Leeds are in the market for a winger, and George is a player who suits the profile of players the 49ers want to sign for the club in the upcoming transfer windows.
However, they will face tough Premier League competition for his signature as Fulham and Everton are also interested in getting their hands on him.
Chelsea would prefer to sell him to their sister club in France, Strasbourg, to ensure they have some sort of control over his future.
Will he suit Leeds?
George is a talented young winger who is struggling at Chelsea because of the plethora of wide options Enzo Maresca has at his disposal.
A January move is likely, and Leeds must pounce if they have a chance to sign the young winger, as he is a real talent who can make a difference on the pitch.
The winger is not getting much game time this season. However, he has already scored six times and registered six assists at the senior level for the Blues.
He prefers to play on the left, where Leeds already have Noah Okafor. However, he is still young enough to be moulded into something that would suit Farke’s team.
George can also play on the right, and has even featured as a centre-forward for Chelsea in a couple of Champions League games this season.
He is a versatile attacker who can provide real tactical flexibility to Farke and add that extra bit of quality to their forward line in the second half of the campaign.
