However, after seeing his future cast into doubt, one journalist has linked Al Qadsiah and Neon Sports Club with the Egyptian star.

“As well as Salah’s wages, which reportedly are around £400,000 per week, you’re also looking at a saving in National Insurance contributions. That’s not a trivial sum. National Insurance is set at 15 per cent as of April 2025, so if £400,000 is Salah’s basic weekly wage, Liverpool are also paying another £60,000 on top of that.
“Over the course of 18 months, that’s another £4.7m. The numbers aren’t an exact science, because some of Salah’s wages will be paid as image rights, which are taxed recently.”

As a result, it looks like the Saudi Pro League is the most likely destination for Salah should he move next year.
He is 33 years of age, but they have shown in the past that they are more than happy to spend big on players, even those who might be past their prime.
