Arsenal are Liverpool are reportedly preparing bids to sign Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, and GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the Brazilian's situation.
According to CaughtOffside, the Gunners - and their Premier League rivals Liverpool - are ready to make offers to take the £80m-rated forward from the Bernabeu to the Emirates or Anfield in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old ended an incredible 1,415-minute goal drought by scoring the opening goal against Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday night, but his side fell to a 2-1 defeat to increase the pressure on manager Xabi Alonso following two wins in eight games.

Real Madrid's Rodrygo in action with Real Valladolid's Lucas Rosa on August 25, 2024.
Rodrygo was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City during the summer transfer window after Tottenham Hotspur held talks to sign Savinho.
Neither transfer materialised, but the Rodrygo rumours haven't stopped with Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs all linked with a move for the South American star ahead of the January transfer window.
According to a report, the 25-year-old is open to a move to all of those Premier League clubs in the New Year, as well as Man City, Man United and Chelsea, as he is keen to test himself in England.
Romano has poured cold water on talk of a deal for Rodrygo however, when asked if there is a chance he will arrive in the Premier League in January after the links with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Writing in his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter on Thursday, the Italian journalist said:
It’s quiet with Premier League clubs and Rodrygo now. The last concrete contact was with Man City in August. Let’s see if there’s any change.
Who Needs Rodrygo the Most?
Rodrygo in action for Real Madrid
As four Premier League clubs in particular - Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man City - keep tabs on the Brazilian, it's interesting to look at who actually needs him the most.
While his minutes have been limited under Xabi Alonso, the fact that he scored his first goal of the season on December 10 doesn't suggest he would bring an abundance of goals based on current form.
However, Rodrygo did score 14 goals and provide 11 assists for Real last term, to show the impact he can have in the final third when he plays regularly and has confidence.
Arsenal have been decimated by injury issues in attacking areas in the early part of this season, and the forward would add some quality and competition in wide areas for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Liverpool have clearly had an underwhelming season and could soon be on the lookout for a replacement for Mohamed Salah as doubts remain over his future following his shock rant at the weekend.
Described as a 'world-class superstar' by Luka Modric, Rodrygo could fit the bill as the perfect heir to the Egyptian if he is to leave Anfield in January.
Both Man City and Tottenham appear to need an extra body in attack to boost their own respective campaigns, and we know Pep Guardiola is a fan given the recent summer interest.
Despite it being very quiet now, don't be surprised if Rodrygo is a name we hear a lot about again next month.
