Hill Dickinson Stadium wins fresh accolade

Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium has scooped a fresh prestigious award.

The waterfront venue at Bramley-Moore Dock was crowned as ‘Project of the Year’ at the TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Awards 2025.

A glitzy ceremony took place at TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit 2025 in Manchester in front of an audience of senior industry figures.

The Blues’ new home caught the eye of the judges to win the prestigious award, beating off strong competition from a strong international shortlist.

They included Stockholm’s Avicii Arena, the Estadio La Cartuja in Seville and Fulham’s new Riverside Stand as well as Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park.

Hill Dickinson Stadium is fast developing a reputation as a leading sports venue which will host five Euro 2028 fixtures as well as next year’s Magic Weekend.

It is also a shortlisted venue in the UK’s bid to stage the 2035 Women’s World Cup.

The 52,729-capacity venue was previously named as the ‘Outstanding Development of the Year’ at the Liverpool City Region Property Awards in October.

Alix Waldron, Everton’s director of new stadium development, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to land the Project of the Year award.

“We’re all immensely proud of Hill Dickinson Stadium and to see it recognised by industry experts is testament to our belief that this is a world-class venue.

“We’d like to thank the judging panel for their consideration and reiterate our thanks to everyone who helped contribute to making Hill Dickinson Stadium a home that all Evertonians can be immensely proud of.”
